Do options trading hours differ on weekends?

Been trading for a while now but mostly during weekdays after work. Never really paid attention to weekend schedules.

Noticed some assets seem available on Saturday mornings but not sure if the hours are different. Do they run shorter sessions or is it the same as weekday trading?

Want to make sure I’m not missing anything important about weekend timing.

Jumped into weekend crypto trades without checking volume first - big mistake.

Saturday morning Bitcoin moves destroyed me with thin liquidity. Lost $200 on what would’ve been a winning trade during the week.

Crypto never sleeps, but those Sunday forex gaps got me twice too.

Weekend trading typically has shorter hours than during the week. Most forex pairs are available but trading starts late on Sunday and ends early on Friday.

For crypto, trading is always active, which is great for those weekends. However, stock options are generally not available on weekends.

It’s wise to check your broker’s specific weekend schedule, as it can vary from one to another.

Crypto never sleeps, but I avoid weekends since liquidity can be low. I’ve faced issues with wide spreads before. Gaps on Sunday night when forex trading resumes can lead to unexpected losses. It’s best to close positions by Friday evening and wait for the increased volume on Monday. Those Saturday morning moves might look enticing, but the risk usually outweighs the potential reward.

Weekend trading has limited hours. You can trade most forex pairs Saturday and Sunday, but sessions are shorter. Crypto runs 24/7. Stock indices are usually closed on weekends. Some brokers offer synthetic versions.
