found out what happens when a call option expires

Had a call option expire yesterday and was unsure what would happen. It just disappeared from my account.

I lost the premium paid for it but now I know. I thought it might convert to something else but it’s just gone.

Just have to learn from it.

Same thing happened to me three months ago with a Tesla call that looked so promising.

Watched it fade to nothing in the final minutes. That $50 premium just vanished and taught me to always check expiry times twice.

Now I set phone alerts 30 minutes before any option expires so I can decide whether to close early or let it ride.

Expired call options become worthless. The premium you paid is the maximum loss. No conversion or rollover occurs on Pocket Option. This is standard across all binary platforms.

The premium is what you pay to enter the trade. If the option expires out of the money, that money is lost for good.

This part of options trading is straightforward compared to other investments. You know your maximum loss before you trade.

Many traders fail because they ignore this rule. Adjust your position size based on the total premium you can afford to lose. If a $20 loss is significant for your account, stick to $5 trades instead.

Exactly how options work when they expire out of the money. The premium is gone but knowing the max risk is important.

Learning this lesson early is better than later when risking bigger amounts. Understanding position sizing is crucial.

Keep track of expiration times to avoid surprises next time.
